Lärkstadens studiecentrum also has a chapel for prayer and Catholic services. A Catholic priest lives in the study center and is available for chats and spiritual guidance.
The religious activities of Lärkstadens studiecentrum are entrusted to the Prelature of Opus Dei, a Catholic institution officially approved as part of the Catholic Church. Opus Dei is also responsible for the general Christian atmosphere of the study center, whose spirit emphasizes the need for daily work done as a means to serve God and mankind.
The tenants have their own bedrooms but share common areas with other students and get food prepared by our house management from Trädlärkan Educational Centre. The staff also takes care of the students' laundry and performs light housekeeping on weekdays. Their work contributes much to create a homely environment. A director with the help of an assistant director and cashier ensure that the student home is working. They are responsible for the buildings finances, activities, cooperation with the Trädlärkan staff, order in the house, etc.
The monthly charge (6,200 SEK per month) includes daily breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. Lunch and dinner are at specified times. If you eat at home at the usual times it is expected to have lunch and supper with the others. One of the traditions of Lärkstaden is the "get together" after the evening meal a few times a week: informal gatherings where the students can converse and get to know each other better in a familiar atmosphere.
